Studenţii din anul III licenţă şi anul II master sunt rugaţi să depună la secretariat cererea cu tema și aprobarea profesorului coordonator în vederea susținerii examenului de licență / disertație în sesiunile aferente anului universitar 2025-2026.
Cererile semnate de coordonator vor fi depuse de către studenți la secretariatul facultății în perioada 17 noiembrie – 18 decembrie 2025.
16-19 octombrie 2025
Între 16 şi 19 octombrie 2025 au avut loc Stările Generale ale Filosofiei, ediţia a III-a. Evenimentul, purtând titlul Gândire critică, înțelegere, intersubiectivitate, a fost găzduit de Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
Din partea Facultăţii de Filosofie a Universității din București a participat o delegaţie numeroasă de profesori îndrăgiţi, între care amintim pe profesorii Constantin Stoenescu, Cristian Iftode şi Paul Gabriel Sandu.
Au susţinut alocuţiuni plenare prof. univ. dr. Mircea Dumitru, vicepreşedinte al Academiei Române şi director al Şcolii Doctorale în Filosofie, şi prof. univ. dr. Viorel Vizureanu, decan al Facultăţii de Filosofie. Prezentarea plenară a prof. Dumitru s-a intitulat „Există un sentiment al demonstrației? Despre qualia cognitive”, îmbinând elemente de filosofia logicii, epistemologie şi filosofia minţii. Prof. Vizureanu s-a adresat participanţilor, în deschiderea evenimentului, din perspectiva coordonării organizării ediţiei anterioare a Stărilor Filosofiei.

Our colleague, PhD Lecturer Oana Șerban, will attend the international conference “Confronting Holocaust Distortion in the Digital Era”, organized by Yad Vashem, the POLIN Museum, Holocaust Centre North, the University of Huddersfield, the Leibniz Institute of Contemporary History, Brandeis University, the Polish Center for Holocaust Research, and the Holocaust Museum LA.

Taking place between November 18–20, 2025, this major international event will bring together scholars, educators, and museum professionals to explore the growing phenomenon of Holocaust distortion in digital spaces.
Her paper, entitled “Biopolitics 2.0: Analyzing Holocaust Distortion and Denial in Romanian Digital Environments. A Case Study on Corrective Justice Mechanisms on Facebook: The Digital Heritage of ‘Viral’ Cancel Culture,” is developed within the research project BIOART — PN-IV-P2-2.1-TE-2023-0636, “Biopolitical Art in the Post-Holocaust Age: Philosophical Perspectives on Aestheticized Testimonies, Politicized Aesthetics, and Bare Life”, financed by UEFISCDI.

Luni, 27 octombrie, de la ora 19:30, Centrul Ceh din București găzduiește prelegerea „From Fetish of Progress to Livable Life”, susținută de filosofa cehă Alice Koubová, cercetătoare principală la Academia Cehă de Științe și una dintre cele mai originale voci ale filosofiei europene contemporane.
Evenimentul este organizat de Centrul Ceh din București și Facultatea de Filosofie a Universității din București, cu sprijinul Ambasadei Republicii Cehe, și face parte dintr-o serie de inițiative dedicate promovării dialogului intercultural și reflecției critice asupra valorilor lumii contemporane.
Discuția va fi moderată de colega noastră, lect. univ. dr. Oana Șerban.

Zuzzana Rucinska (University of Antwerp) visited the University of Bucharest October 6-13, 2025, where she taught the “Evolutionary Psychology” masterclass in the “Mind the Brain” programme in cognitive science at the Faculty of Philosophy. She gave a talk titled “Making sense with (digital) objects – enactive approach to introspecting and therapy bots” at the “Enactive approaches to LLM and human interaction” conference, October 9-10, 2025, at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest (https://philevents.org/event/show/139506). She also delivered another talk titled “VR narratives”, where she explored the nature of our actions in VR, at the international workshop “Theory or Narratives? New Grounds for the Theory of Mind” (https://philevents.org/event/show/141122), held October 11-12, 2025, in Bran. We are grateful for the scholarly opportunity to interact with her ongoing research. Prof. Rucinska’s visit was supported via ICUB, being an invited speaker at the University of Bucharest.
Daniel Hutto (University of Wollongong) visited the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest between October 5-Oct 14, and taught the “Philosophical Foundations of Cognitive Science” masterclass in the “Mind the Brain” programme. He delivered two keynote presentations: His first presentation was titled “Thinking About and With AI” and was part of the “Enactive approaches to LLM and human interaction” conference, October 9-10, 2025, at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest (https://philevents.org/event/show/139506). Prof. Hutto’s second keynote talk, titled “Skilled Mindreading”, was held at the international workshop “Theory or Narratives? New Grounds for the Theory of Mind” (https://philevents.org/event/show/141122) between October 11-12, 2025 in Bran. We are grateful for this experience and the scholarly pursuits it instilled in our students and faculty. His visit was supported via the ICUB grant for enhanced institutional performance 10504/25.10.2024 titled “The effects of LLM on TOM in digital and virtual environments”, project dir. Andrei Mărăşoiu.
