The 4th Edition of The Economists’ Philosophy Day, organized by the Journal of Philosophical Economics on the occasion of World Philosophy Day (November 20, 2025), highlights the essential role of philosophical inquiry in examining and advancing economic science. Bringing together scholars across disciplines, the event fosters rigorous debate on the epistemological, methodological, and normative dimensions of economic thought.
This edition is organized in partnership with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, the Working Group on Economic Philosophy and Ethics in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Philosophie (DG Phil), the REI – Faculty of International Business and Economics, CCIIF – The Research Center for the History and Circulation of Philosophical Ideas, and the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance and Sustainable Development – University of Bucharest.
