Volumul “Philosophy and Film: Bridging Divides”, editat de Christina Rawls, Diana Neiva, Steven S. Gouveia, a apărut în luna aprilie la Routledge și reunește douăzeci de articole originale ale unor cercetători din diferite tradiții filosofice și academice, atât din Europa cât și din SUA.
În cadrul acestui volum, Asist. Univ. Dr. Oana Șerban (Universitatea din București, Facultatea de Filosofie) a publicat studiul „Transnational Bio-Political Motives in Postmodern Cinema: Žižek and Badiou on Udi Aloni’s Forgiveness and Local Angel„, semnând Capitolul XVII al acestui proiect editorial, în care se regăsesc contribuțiile unor nume sonore pentru estetica și filosofia contemporană, precum Noël Carroll, Chris Falzon, Deborah Knight, Paisley Livingston, Robert Sinnerbrink, Malcolm Turvey si Thomas Wartenberg.

Dorina Pătrunsu va fi lansat în cadrul Salonului Internațional de Carte Bookfest 2018, joi, 31 mai 2018, ora 16.00. Evenimentul se va desfășura la standul 16 al Editurii Universității din București din cadrul complexului Romexpo, pavilion B2 (pavilion nou). Vor prezenta volumul prof.univ.dr. Mircea Dumitru și prof.univ.dr. Romulus Brâncoveanu.

On 10th of May, 2018, the Faculty of Philosophy hosted the launch of the volume “Georgia and European World, Philosophical – Cultural Dialogue” edited by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
This volume is dedicated to Anthim the Iberian and gathered the works of the International Scientific Conference “Anthim the Iberian and European Enlightenment: Texts and Contexts”, which took place on 7th-8th of May 2016 in Tbilisi.
The event was attended by Prof. Anastasia ZAKARIADZE, one of the editors of the volume, and by guests and authors of this volume from Romanian Academy, from Romanian Patriarchate and by professors and colleagues from the Faculty of Philosophy.
A special guest was the Consul of Georgia in Romania, Mr. Giorgi TSIKARISHVILI, who gave a welcoming speech. His Excellency highlighted that the cultural interest shared by Georgia and Romania on Anthim the Iberian has the potential to mark a truly strong and committed relationship between our two countries, that will be further intensified through joint projects and collaborations.
