Drd. Maria Chiara Bruttomesso (Universitatea din Verona) va sustine prelegerea „Don`t read my mind. Re-evaluating Scheler`s Theories of Perception and Expressivity for the Problem of Intersubjectivity”, in cadrul Conferintelor CCIIF de luna aceasta.
Evenimentul se desfasoara vineri, 11 septembrie 2015, in Sala Doctorala a Facultatii de Filosofie a Universitatii din Bucuresti, incepand cu ora 14:00.

isch_logo1Conferinta Internationala ISCH – Time and Culture se va desfasura in perioada 7-10 septembrie 2015, in cadrul Facultatii de Filosofie a Universitatii din Bucuresti.

Organizatori: ISCH, Universitatea din Bucuresti, Facultatea de Filosofie, Departamentul de Istorie Antica, Arheologie si Istoria Artei, CEREFREA, Centrul pentru Studii Medievale.

ABOUT THE JOURNAL

The International Journal of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Culture (IJAPHC) represents a recent publication IJAPHC editorsconstituted as an international forum for research and debate in philosophy and history of arts, philosophical aesthetics, cultural studies and philosophy of culture.

The main academic objective of IJAPHC is to become a site of interdisciplinary debates on a broad range of topics, from the nature of aesthetic judgement and the principles of art criticism to foundational issues concerning visual arts, literature, music, dance, film and architecture as well as topics of philosophy of culture and cultural studies.

IJPHC is not partisan of a certain philosophical school, direction or methodology, its purpose being to ensure knowledge and rational debates as well as to stimulate the creativity within these domains of research.

 

ISSUES AND TOPICS

IJAPHC has two issues per year (appearing in February and August) and contains studies, articles and information within the domain of interest elaborated by authors with high qualification. Therefore, IJAPHC encourages submissions which address original and innovative perspectives and cross-cultural approaches on different topics, suitable for one of the following rubrics:

  • Research: editorial studies and scientific articles;
  • Debates: ideas and concepts for the twenty-first century in close relation with the philosophical heritage of previous centuries;
  • Dialogues: interviews with academic personalities of the contemporary philosophical world;
  • Focus: philosophical and cultural events; academic and scientific life;
  • Reviews: critical considerations on recent philosophical books;
  • Restitutions: anniversaries and commemorations.

For the first four issues, we will not include thematic numbers.

 

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Submissions should conform to the editorial protocol presented below.

Articles are submitted exclusively using the online system. Manuscripts will be in .doc format, A4, 1.5 spaced throughout. Abstracts no more than 200 words are mandatory. Articles should not exceed 8000 words. All manuscripts must conform to the author-date system documentation style, as it is presented in The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. We accept articles written in English only.

All the articles will be refereed blindly. Authors will receive their feedback in order to improve their manuscripts, if necessary, in terms of four weeks.

IJAPHC does not assume the responsibility for the accuracy of the data and information presented in the published articles under the signature of its collaborators, and will not publish personal or intolerant polemics against any person or philosophical orientations.
DEADLINE

Manuscripts for the first issue of IJAPHC will be submitted by email, to the address ijaphc.philosophy@gmail.com. Authors are encouraged to submit their papers by the the 1st  of November 2015.
