We live in time when changes in all spheres of life have speed up. Contemporary cultural and social processes are developing incomparably more intensively than even a century ago. Science and technology has contributed to great changes in quality of life, social stratification, work and education, human values and believes, communication and lifestyles.
The workshop will aim to spur a discussion on the different aspect of contemporary cultural and social changes, on the concept of progress and development, on dynamics of values and social processes and invites presentations reflecting on the many ways in which acceleration of changes and speed of development challenges contemporary society. Interdisciplinary analyses and philosophical reflection on the processes of becoming, occurring, coming about, or being impertinent and transient will be focused on process philosophy approach, paradigms of social change and formation and effect of cultural values in time of profound changes as nowadays.
Therefore, the workshop invites contributions to the following three panels. The themes are suggested, but not limited to:
I. COGNITIVE AND EXPLANATORY POTENTIAL OF PROCESS PHILOSOPHY APPROACH
The first panel of the workshop will be devoted to investigation of process ontological framework for the further development of the application of process ontology to the investigation of social phenomena. In connection with the last ones it will be attempted to develop in more details the theoretical aspects of applied ontology: the top-down and the down-top approaches of ontological investigations, as well as the ontological levels and other methodological approaches.
How construction of the world is possible by means of process ontology, process epistemology and process ethics?
Cognition in virtual space from the point of view of process philosophy
II. PARADIGMS OF SOCIAL CHANGE
The paradigm of progress and its challenges to societies in transition
From material to post-material world: value changes and changing patterns of political actions
The paradigm of knowledge-based society in the Information age: becoming digital citizen
III. VALUES IN ACTION: ETHICS, ART AND RELIGION
The role of religious values and believes in what is becoming or how it is occurring
Persistent and transient in the world of aesthetic values
Innovation and creativity as dynamic aspects of being
Internet values and online activism for social change

A 8-a CONFERINŢĂ DE FILOSOFIE ROMÂNEASCĂ
organizată de Centrul de Cercetare a Istoriei Ideilor Filosofice

Metafizica şi ontologia, discipline filosofice originare, au avut un parcurs istoric diferit în cultura occidentală. Aşezate uneori în raporturi de subordonare (în sistematica lui Christian Wolff, de exemplu, unde ontologia este o disciplină în corpus-ul metafizicii), alteori în raporturi de opoziţie radicală (în „analitica existenţială” a lui Heidegger, de pildă), cele două s-au împletit, deseori, în unitatea unei reconstrucţii filosofice. Astăzi, metafizica este socotită mai degrabă o formulă filosofică învechită şi, cumva, lipsită de legitimitate. În schimb, ontologia constituie miza multor încercări filosofice şi apare ca o disciplină care adună sensurile autentice ale filosofiei. Care sunt contextele semnificative ale prezenţei acestor două discipline în filosofia românească? Ce metode şi tehnici de filosofare au folosit gânditorii români pentru a reformula problemele metafizicii şi ale ontologiei? Ce rol au avut – şi au – acestea pentru viaţa filosofică şi pentru creaţia filosofică din cultura noastră?
Pornind de la aceste întrebări, ne propunem, pentru această conferinţă, să delimităm categorial metafizica şi ontologia şi să ilustrăm folosirea metodelor de lucru ce le sunt proprii în câteva reconstrucţii filosofice româneşti. Demersul se poate înscrie la niveluri diferite: metafilosofic sau filosofic-critic; el poate urma modele diverse de cercetare: analitic, fenomenologic, hermeneutic etc.; şi poate fi proiectat şi efectuat cu metode diferite: descriptive, interpretative etc. Încercăm, prin acest demers, să punem problema unei regândiri a statutului pe care filosofia românească îl are în istoria filosofiei, în general.
Conferinţa va avea şi o secţiune specială „Lucian Blaga – metafizica şi ontologia în sistemul său filosofic”. Socotim că la 120 de ani de la naşterea filosofului român, o cercetare a componentelor metafizice şi ontologice ale sistemului său, cu tehnici hermeneutice actuale, este un demers necesar pentru cultura noastră filosofică.
Sunt invitaţi să participe la această conferinţă cadre didactice, studenţi, cercetători interesaţi de problematica filosofiei româneşti din orizontul celor două discipline, metafizica şi ontologia, şi de relaţiile acesteia cu istoria filosofiei, mai cu seamă cu filosofia actuală.
Persoanele care doresc să se înscrie în program sunt rugate să trimită, până la 10 septembrie 23 octombrie 2015, titlul lucrării, un rezumat de cel mult 300 de cuvinte al acesteia şi un scurt CV, la adresa de email: conferinta.fil.ro@gmail.com. Programul simpozionului va fi definitivat până la 10 noiembrie 2015 şi va fi postat pe site-ul Facultăţii de Filosofie a Universităţii din Bucureşti: www.filosofie.unibuc.ro. CFP: A doua ediție a concursului de eseuri filosofice C.E.F., organizat de CCIIF (Centrul de cercetare a istoriei ideilor filosofice), propune următoarea temă de cercetare: Identitate și Eros.
Deadline ediţia a II-a: 20 mai 2015.
Abordările pot deschide următoarele direcții tematice din orizontul eticii, esteticii, metafizicii, filosofiei religiei, ontologiei, fenomenologiei și epistemologiei:
- Diferențele constitutive dintre Eros, Philia și Agape;
- Iubirea ca încercare de a-l gândi pe Celălalt;
- Posibilitățile iertării prin iubire;
- Identitatea Persoanei: comuniunea prin iubire;
- Corporalitate și sexualitate: interpretări fenomenologice;
- Iubirea (de sine) ca datorie;
- Morala ca aparență de iubire.
Eseurile vor fi trimise la adresa de email a CCIIF: cciif.fil.unibuc@gmail.com şi vor fi însoţite de un scurt CV, axat pe evidenţierea următoarelor aspecte: interese academice, cercetări anterioare, publicaţii, participări la conferinţe naţionale sau internaţionale.
Lucrările vor fi realizate în limita a 8000 de cuvinte, redactate în acord cu normele editurii Academiei Române (a se consulta Anexa 1). Un participant poate înscrie în concurs un singur eseu şi poate participa la etape consecutive doar dacă nu a fost declarat câştigător al unei etape anterioare.

CCEA are plăcerea de a vă anunța că în data de 8 mai 2015 va avea loc ediția a III-a a conferinței Etica sexualității și a dragostei.
Posibile direcții de cercetare includ, dar nu se rezuma la, sex și moralitate, comportamente sexuale deviante, hărțuire sexuala, adulter, limitele obscenității, relația dintre iubire și sexualitate, feminitate și masculinitate șamd.
Cât despre volumul colectiv cu același nume, termenul de depunere a fost prelungit până la data de 1 iunie pentru a se putea înscrie și lucrările prezentate în cadrul acestei conferințe.

Presenting authors and co-authors are encouraged to submit their papers by the 1st of June 2015.
The Annals of the University of Bucharest, Philosophy Series, is a Philosophy research journal, published by the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Philosophy.
The journal publishes articles considered of relevance for those interested in the field of philosophy and is addressed both to the Romanian and international Philosophy community, with a special accent on East- and Central-European area.
All contributions developing an original research coming from different areas of philosophy are welcome and should be sent by e-mail as attachment. Manuscripts for The Annals of the University of Bucharest, Philosophy Series, No.1, 2015 should be submitted to the editor at annals.philosophy@ub-filosofie.ro. Submission implies that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere.
Previous editions of our journal may be read at: http://annals.ub-filosofie.ro/
All manuscripts should be formatted in Rich Text Format file (*rtf) or Microsoft Word document (*doc) with 12 pt. font size and double-spaced, in Rich Format Style. Authors should use the author-date system documentation style, as it is presented in The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition.
Authors should limit the paper submission to 8000 words, including footnotes and references. Manuscripts will be written in English only. Papers should have an abstract and key words. The authors assume all responsibility for the content and originality of the article published in the journal.
