Lecturer Cătălin Cioabă received his doctorate from the University of Bucharest in 2005, with a thesis on Heidegger’s temporal ontology. He specialized in phenomenology, with a particular focus on German phenomenology. Cătălin Cioabă joined the Faculty of Philosophy in 2015 and he is currently teaching to undergraduate and graduate students. As part of his research, he also translated into Romanian a significant number of works by Wittgenstein and Heidegger, including Sein und Zeit. Most recently, he edited a book on Eminescu’s biography, for which he received the professional publishers’ award in 2014.
